Elopements + Weddings

Real moments, in wild places

I'm a documentary-style elopement and wedding photographer based in Northwestern Montana. My work centers on Glacier National Park, the Flathead Valley, and the Montana wilderness, but I travel anywhere the story leads. From sunrise vows on a ridgeline to fifty of your closest people at a Montana ranch, I'll be there to capture the day exactly as it unfolds. Honest, unhurried, and true to who you are.

Meet Your Photographer

Hey, I'm Stan

Originally from Bulgaria, I moved to the US in 2016 and settled in Kalispell, my husband Obi's hometown and the gateway to Glacier. Photography started as a college hobby and quickly became the way I connect with people and places. Ten years in, I'm still chasing alpine light.

I'm also an ordained officiant, which means I can sign the paperwork and make it official. No awkward speeches from a stranger. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I celebrate love in all its forms. Every couple, every story, welcome here.

Ceremony Locations

Where to elope in Glacier

The park has a set of designated ceremony locations, and each one feels completely different. These are the ones couples ask about most, and the ones I keep coming back to.

West Side · Easiest Access

Lake McDonald & Apgar

Calm water, painted pebbles, and mountains stacked behind the lake. Accessible year-round, which makes it the go-to for winter elopements and low-stress timelines.

Alpine · Going-to-the-Sun Road

Logan Pass

The dramatic one. Wildflower meadows in July, mountain goats if you're lucky, and views in every direction. Summer access only, and worth every bit of planning.

East Side · The Postcard

Many Glacier

Towering peaks and glacial lakes. If you've ever seen a photo of Glacier that stopped you mid-scroll, there's a good chance it was taken here.

Southeast · Quiet and Underrated

Two Medicine

Fewer crowds, big mountain light, and some of the best sunrise spots in the park. My pick for couples who want Glacier without the traffic.

North Fork · The Remote One

Bowman Lake & Polebridge

A long dirt road keeps the crowds away. For couples who want solitude more than convenience, this corner of the park delivers both quiet and drama.

East Entrance · The Iconic Overlook

St. Mary & Wild Goose Island

The famous island view from Going-to-the-Sun Road, plus wide open shoreline for the ceremony itself. Golden hour here is hard to beat.

My Approach

What makes this experience worth it?
It's you.

Your story, your connection, the small in-between moments that matter most. That's what I'm here to capture. This isn't just about photos. It's about creating an experience that feels easy, intentional, and true to who you are. From our first conversation to the final gallery, I'm fully in your corner. The result: images that feel real, honest, and timeless. The kind you'll come back to for years. If you're still planning, I'll personally walk you through permits, locations, and timelines so nothing about your day feels overwhelming.

What to Expect

From first hello to final gallery

A clear, calm process. No guesswork, no surprises.

01. BOOK

Send a message

Drop me a line through the contact page. Tell me about you two and what you have in mind. I'll reply with availability and what the investment looks like, and we'll trade emails or hop on a call. When it feels right, a signed contract and retainer locks in your date.

02. PLAN

Build your day, together

I shape the day around what actually matters to you, not a template. Locations that fit your story, a clean timeline, and permit guidance if you're eloping in Glacier. By the time the day comes, you'll feel ready, not overwhelmed.

03. THE DAY

Show up. Be yourselves.

I photograph what's real. The way you actually hold each other, laugh, move. Every frame is intentional, and the quiet moments get just as much attention as the big ones. When you look back at these, they should feel like your day. Not someone else's.

04. GALLERY

Edited, delivered, yours

Every image is edited to match. Same warmth, same mood, start to finish. I only deliver photos that earn their place. You'll get a mix of color and black and white, hosted on a secure online gallery you can download and share.

Working with Stan was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He brought such warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. It's no exaggeration to say he became a lifelong friend through this process. He captured our day in the most beautiful, authentic light.

I truly cannot say enough good things about Stan. We felt so comfortable. It felt as if we were connecting with a friend who just happened to have a camera. Every single picture we received is beautiful and clearly captures the love between us.

Frequently Asked

Common questions

  • Do I need a permit to elope in Glacier National Park?

Yes. Every wedding ceremony in Glacier National Park requires a Special Use Permit from the National Park Service, regardless of group size. Specific locations also have group-size limits and seasonal restrictions. I help every Glacier couple navigate this, including cost, timing, and which locations require what.

  • When's the best time of year to elope in Glacier?

Late June through mid-September is peak season. Going-to-the-Sun Road is fully open, alpine wildflowers are blooming, and most trails are accessible. Late September into early October brings golden larches and dramatically fewer crowds. Winter elopements (December to March) are quieter, snowy, and unbelievably beautiful for the right couple. Once we're working together, I'll help you pick the season that fits the day you're picturing.

  • How far in advance should we book?

Most couples book 6 to 12 months ahead, especially for peak summer dates. I take a limited number of weddings each year so I can give every couple my full attention. If your date is within a few months, still reach out. I sometimes have last-minute availability.

  • Do you travel outside of Montana?

Yes. I travel anywhere your story is happening. Recent destinations include Hawaii, Bulgaria, the Pacific Northwest, and Wisconsin. Travel pricing varies; reach out and we'll talk through logistics.

  • Can you officiate our ceremony?

Yes. I'm an ordained officiant, which means I can sign the paperwork and make it official. For elopement couples this is included, so you don't need to find a separate officiant. Just two people you trust, in a place you love.

  • How many photos will we receive?

It depends on coverage length, but expect roughly 75 to 100 fully edited images per hour of shooting. Every gallery is delivered in full resolution with personal printing rights, hosted on a secure online gallery you can download and share. You'll get a mix of color and black and white.

  • Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

Always. I'm a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, and I photograph every couple equally and wholeheartedly. Your love is welcome here, no exceptions.

  • What's your photography style?

Documentary-style with a moody, cinematic, earthy edit. Warm skin tones, rich greens, a slight film grain. I prioritize real moments over staged ones, but I'll guide you when you need it. Browse the Glacier elopement and Montana wedding portfolio to see if it's the right fit.

  • Do you offer wedding content creation too?

Yes. Alongside photography, I work as a Montana wedding content creator: candid 4K vertical video and behind-the-scenes coverage that pairs with the photographer you've booked, or with my own photography as a hybrid. Sneak peeks land the next day, and elopement content packages start at $1,400.

Two Hearts. One Story.

Let's tell yours

No two love stories look alike, and yours shouldn't be photographed like anyone else's. I'd love to hear what you're planning.
